Pamela Galvani
Visual Arts
Pam Galvani is a text-based artist and printmaker on Bainbridge Island, Washington, near Seattle. Her work is shown at Bainbridge's The Island Gallery. She has taught at Cornish College of the Arts, participates in calligraphy and printmaking events around the world, and is an active member of the Bainbridge Artisan Resource Network (BARN).
Pam is a text-based artist. Inspiration for her work often begins with her reading or hearing words, phrases or stories that resonate with her. By abstracting the original text, her intention is to discover and reveal ideas that go beyond what legible words may communicate. Each of the prints is a monotype... She allows the process of making prints to structure her exploration into how meaning reveals itself.
