Born in Yakima, Washington, 1953, Mr. White is a Regional, National, and International Award-Winning Artist in Painting and Sculpture. Referred to as a Renaissance Man due to his art and interests in music, acting and an international model through the eighties. His guide pursuing life has been his grandmother who once said. “Don’t be a flower on wallpaper just sitting there, go out and make something of yourself”.  He has always kept busy with artwork, his hearts driving force since he could hold a crayon, leading to a professional career in painting, stone sculpture, ceramic sculpture, mix medium, and large public sculptures. He has a strong respect for the flora and fauna of the world and tries to capture that essence in his artwork.

His artistic encouragement was awarded at age ten by winning a National Art Contest sponsored by the Post Cereal Company and the US Postal Service. While in high school he was selected to mentor younger students in art at the School for Creative Talented Students. His first solo exhibit was at age nineteen depicting the local landscapes.

He dedicated his first New York City Exhibit at 27 years old to a Mentor and Friend, the late Actor/Artist Mr. Henry Fonda.  From that show, he was invited to exhibit at The International Center of Fine Contemporary Art in Paris, France.  Mr. White was the first artist to have had two paintings selected for The Long Beach Museum of Arts National Juried Competition in New York.

In 2002, The Artist’s Magazine Annual International Competition selected his Stone Sculpture “The Night Watchman” as the Top Thirty Artists from over 14,000 entries World-Wide.  The Society of Animal Artist’s Annual International Competition selected this Sculpture for the Highest Honor and Medal, plus Honoring him as Signature Member on his first entry. His art is included in Private, Corporate, and City Collections.

His philosophy is: “The beauty of life is so precious and plentiful. One should tap all of his God given talents, pursue them to the best of his ability, and share with others everything he has to offer”.
