What is your role at AHB, and what do you enjoy about it?
I’ve been on the board since August 2019. I enjoy working with such passionate people to foster art and connect artists in the community by sharing information and ideas.
How are you involved in the arts?
I am an art supporter and also a painter.
What has 2020 taught you both personally and professionally?
2020 has been a year of patience, reflection, and compassion. Art has truly been a way for many to cope and heal.
How will you carry those lessons into 2021?
I will continue to use art to inspire others, to bring joy, to heal and offer hope.
What excites you about what you’ve learned/the changes AHB has made or will make going forward?
AHB has rallied to adapt to the changes in our lives and has offered many ways for people to enjoy and participate in the art world. Currents online is an impressive source of inspiration for our community. We are so fortunate.
What is your vision for a stronger and more sustainable AHB?
I think that AHB will continue to thrive in supporting art in the community because of the demand for creative outlets, especially during stressful times. AHB is working hard to spread the word about everything it has to offer. Currents online is an amazing platform for our community—the more people that know about it, the more effective AHB can be as a comprehensive resource. Tell your friends!
