Julianne Thoma is a singer, songwriter and pianist based in Seattle, WA. Classically trained in piano and voice, her wide-ranging influences also include jazz, pop and electronic styles. She is inspired by colors, nature, and human connection, and strives to provide a sense of both honesty and wonder in her lyrics. Her improvisatory keyboard style is minimal yet soulful, incorporating dreamy textures and subtle sparkle.

Julianne earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance (Piano) at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA, where she performed with local bands and led her own jazz trio until 2016. Since relocating to Seattle, she has spent the last several years exploring new influences and creative directions. In August of 2017, she began writing, recording and touring with California based electro-soul producer Michal Menert and band, The Pretty Fantastics, and can be found on their debut LP “From The Sea” (2018) and subsequent EP “Permanent Vacation” (2020). She also released an EP, titled “Reflections”, with fellow Pretty Fantastics band member Matt van den Heuvel, under the project name Mismani in 2018.
