Fully Funded Visual Arts Workshop: Culturally Responsive Teaching

Presented by Arts & Humanities Bainbridge at Zoom, Bainbridge Island WA

May 07 - 21 2021
Fully Funded Visual Arts Workshop: Culturally Responsive Teaching

In this three-part workshop series, we'll spend the first half of each session learning how to be culturally responsive as a teacher.  Then we'll move into visual arts and explore how hands have expressed emotion and identity in art across cultures and history.  Through close observation and understanding of proportion, we'll make contour drawings of our own hands.  Finally, we'll create our hands as a calligram (image made of words), and write a personal narrative.
