Jeffrey Moose Gallery returns the thrilling Rock and Roll photographs of Steve Schneider to the gallery walls from May 3rd to June 30th. “Seattle Rocks: The Grunge Years” features photos of Nirvana, Soundgarden and Pearl Jam . A reception will be held on First Friday, June 7th from 6 to 8 PM. The public is invited to attend in appropriate Grunge attire.
Bainbridge Island, home to seminal Hair/Metal band Mother Love Bone front man Andrew Wood, is a perfect place to stage this show as members of that band went on to form Pearl Jam and work with Chris Cornell of Soundgarden to record Temple of the Dog, a tribute to Wood.
In the space of less than a week, Mr. Schneider managed to shoot two crucial 1993 shows by Pearl Jam and Nirvana; Pearl Jam at Mercer Arena, December 7th and Nirvana, December 13th at an MTV fake New Year’s Eve show staged in a Pier 48 warehouse.
