Springbrook Creek Preserve by John Knox
Drop by any time between 10 am and 1 pm on Saturday, January 29th to tour Springbrook Creek Preserve, learn about the importance of the watershed, and get to know the Land Trust.
Bring your families, friends, and neighbors – this is a community event!
Springbrook Creek Preserve is an incredible, diverse 23-acre property that encompasses meadows, a wetland and a stream, and a mature upland forest. With the Preserve not yet open to the public, this is an event that you won’t want to miss.
For attendees who are interested in taking a tour, we have quite a treat in store. Tours will be occurring throughout from 10 am to 1 pm, as folks arrive we will send groups of 8 to 10 people out onto the trail. At various locations around along the well-marked trail the Stewardship staff members from the Land Trust will be set up to talk about streams and watersheds, forests and wildlife, and habitat restoration with you! The tour takes around 40 minutes to complete and does include uneven, muddy terrain. If you are a bird or wildlife lover, we encourage you to bring binoculars! Please be prepared for wet weather and uneven, muddy terrain.
