Synopsis. Wildcat is a documentary film that provides a window into a rarely seen, often misunderstood world of extraordinary beauty, lush biodiversity and deep emotion. Wildcat follows the journey of an unlikely trio: Samantha Zwicker, a visionary scientist living in the heart of the Peruvian jungle, Harry Turner, a traumatized veteran of the war in Afghanistan, and an orphaned ocelot rescued from the black market with little chance of surviving without their help. Filmed primarily deep in Peru’s Amazonian rainforest, Wildcat explores the redemptive power of nature and wildlife through the eyes of these three singular beings. Note: Film contains mature subject matter and is not recommended for viewers younger than high school age.

Film Activity. After making its world premiere at the Telluride Film Festival in September, Wildcat has continued an active domestic film festival schedule including winning Best Feature Documentary at the Orcas Island Film Fest as well as international screenings at the Jackson Wild Summit in Austria and the upcoming International Documentary Film Festival in Amsterdam. Amazon Studios plans to release the film in limited theaters on December 21 and on Amazon Prime on December 30.
