Oriana is an environmental portrait photographer. She loves telling visual stories that are authentic and engaging.

Oriana discovered natural light photography while growing between tall trees and mountain meadows in her native Germany. She meandered through four continents photographing people and places before eventually settling into a career doing creative work for international advertising agencies in Frankfurt, Germany, and San Francisco.

When it was time to raise a family, green islands close to the city looked like the perfect place - Oriana has made the Seattle area her home for the last 15+ years. When not pondering light and shadow, you’ll catch Oriana kayaking with her family on lakes and bays all over the West while dreaming of Black Forest cake and that perfectly lively latte.
