Natalie's art is a practice and a process. She started with collage, continued with paper, and carried on with cardboard. First and foremost, Natalie is a collector. She squirrels away the many everyday objects that frequently go unnoticed. She takes pride in the act of caring and composing. As she puts it, "My art, much like my life, is full of repetition, repurpose and reverence." She is an artist by virtue of the communities that surround her.

Natalie is the recipient of the 2019 Amy Award*.

*The Amy Award is an endowment established by David and Caren Anderson in memory of their daughter Amy. It is presented to a young adult under the age of 35, who is or has been an island resident, has compiled a body of work in the visual or performing arts, and whose work demonstrates a sense of quality, creativity, exploration and dedication.
