Michael Pontieri paints representational narrative works occasionally with abstract techniques he learned long ago in Spokane which is not to say that he didn’t finish school in Olympia. He did but perhaps the less said about that the better. He has shown on the island, in Spokane and in Seattle. He lives on the island with his wife and two kids and works at various schools on a part time basis, once receiving a broken pinky award while playing football at the high school (fumble!)
