Tamara Kaye Sellman now lives in Kingston, but lived on the island between 1999 and 2019. Her hybrid collection, Intention Tremor, was published by MoonPath Press (2021). This unusual medical memoir, written in poetry and experimental prose, chronicles the five years of life following her multiple sclerosis diagnosis in 2013. Sales benefit the Accelerated Cure Project, a nonprofit devoted to accelerating research and influencing healthcare policies that impact those with MS.

Tamara is a poet, short story writer, journalist, columnist, and essayist. She holds a Journalism degree from Columbia (Chicago, '90) and later returned to school (2012-2013) to earn two sleep medicine credentials.

Currently, she produces educational modules for polysomnographers and pens columns and articles for multiple chronic illness advocacy communities. Previously, she produced the literary journal, Margin (1998 - 2008) and served as conference director for the Field's End Writers Community around that time. She helped Tuesday Night Publishing (under the auspices of Eagle Harbor Books) to compile, edit, and produce two collections of speculative fiction: Obliquity and Penumba. Proceeds from her self-produced limited edition chapbook, Southern Revival, successfully restored a children's library in rural Louisiana following Hurricane Katrina. Finally, her work at Writer's Rainbow helped dozens of authors complete and publish their own books.

She's currently working on poetry, short stories, and a novel.
