Digitization Days

Presented by Bainbridge Island Historical Museum at Bainbridge Public Library

This Historical Museum is excited to partner with the Bainbridge Public Library and the National Endowment for the Humanities for their upcoming Digitization Days weekend!

On Saturday and Sunday, May 18th and 19th community members are invited to bring in photographs, letters, journals and other artifacts to be digitized that relate to Bainbridge Island History. Participants will receive a digital copy of their materials on a USB drive and keep their original. With consent, the Museum will also keep a digital copy to be accessioned into their permanent collection.

The Museum is especially interested in learning more about the opportunities that drew immigrants to Bainbridge Island, WA, and thereby came to define its cultural heritage: shipbuilding, the lumber industry, and strawberry farming.
