A yearlong project of capturing old Bainbridge, a changing landscape of charming cottages, distinctive mailboxes and other bits of island charm still visible. Vanishing Bainbridge is a response to inevitable change. It is an homage to the transitory aspect of our community, a swan song to beloved places giving way to modernity and age.

Longtime resident and painter Amy D’Apice offers up a celebration of past and present with a collection of mixed media works depicting structures and landscapes from Bainbridge Island, some well cared for, some on the edge of demolition—all irreplaceable.
