For our 6th annual Peacocktail Party, we will once again bring together a community of voices in support of developmental strategies for working with children of all ages. Seeing as how we cannot gather in person at this time for our traditional cocktail party, this year we will be having an online Peacock Tale Party, inviting the whole family to attend.
This will be an event that encourages the conversations between parents and kids, educators and families - sharing generations of stories and connections.
Ken Voorhis, storyteller, musician, and leader in outdoor education for 40+ years, will share a couple of his stories, some things to think about, and maybe a song or two related to the idea of expanding our connection to nature and sense of place through rich experiences in the outdoors.
After the presentation, we will gather in groups to discuss and share with each other our stories and connections, both past and present. We will end the hour with an encouragement from our Nature Nuts instructors to add to your experiences outdoors during the coming months with The Nature of Bainbridge Island scavenger hunt.
This evening promises to be an interesting and engaging event for both families and educators. Preregistration required, so please talk it up with your friends. Tickets available at PeacockFamilyServices.org or by calling Peacock.
