In this 4 session class, you will learn sewing basics by making ‘jammie bottoms. Then on to a choice of a top, a robe or both!
Make your own ‘jammies and robe and embellish with flare. Discover fun ways to embellish your robe.
You will learn to read patterns as well as sewing techniques. July 9,10,11 are instruction days. On Friday, July 12th there will be a guided open studio from 10 - 1 for students to complete their projects.
Thus class is open to youth ages 12 to 17.
Instructor Bio:
Naomi Spinak is a fiber artist from near Seattle, Washington. Her work includes comprehensive textile arts from costume design for theatre to avid knitting. Recent projects include entirely upcycled costume design for Peter and the Starcatcher, a lifesize sea turtle puppet for the Texas State Aquarium and microfossil stuffed animal patterns, in addition to modern quilting and costume design in the Seattle area, San Diego, New York, and Philadelphia.
