Presented by Bainbridge Island Museum of Art at Bainbridge Island Museum of Art

BIMA's smARTfilms Series: Festival Winners presents "Jafar Panahi’s Taxi” (2015), Winner of Berlin International Film Festival

Jafar Panahi is banned from making movies by the Iranian government so he poses as a taxi driver and makes a movie about social challenges in Iran. Jafar drives a cab through the streets of Tehran with camera on the dash, filming conversations with an odd assortment of passengers. Amusing and profound conversations with biting social commentary. A spirited slice of Iranian society by a courageous and creative director. The evening screening is followed by a facilitated discussion with curator tj Faddis.
