A special workshop for walking, observing, imagining, and drawing with Bloedel Creative Resident Erika Lynne Hanson.
While slowly walking and pausing at various predetermined sites within Bloedel Reserve, we will encourage new ways of thinking about the landscape, it’s history and our relationship to it. Through prompts, conversation, and playfulness we will imagine various past iterations of the landscape: what and who are the past, present, and future inhabitants of this landscape? Together we will also explore alternative forms of mark making, such as blind contour and rubbings as we sketch.
Free and no previous art experience needed! Workshop is limited to 20 participants.

Located in a semi-rural residential area, our parking capacity is limited and there is no street or off-site parking available. During busy seasonal events and the summer, we encourage the use of BI Ride, carpooling, or other ride-sharing services. If we reach our parking capacity, we may ask you to return at a later time or another day. We appreciate your understanding.
