The City of Bainbridge Island and its Race Equity Advisory Committee, in partnership with Eagle Harbor Books and Bainbridge Library, present the first in a series of BI Reads for Justice Community Conversations that asks: "Why talk about race on Bainbridge Island?"

Hosts Chasity Malatesta (Multicultural Advisory Council) and Brandi Bispham (Woodward Middle School history teacher) will facilitate a thoughtful, and thought-provoking, conversation among key community members from a variety of sectors--schools, government, business, nonprofit, and environment.

BI Reads for Justice is a new program sponsored by the City that encourages Islanders to read one book together. This year's selection is Stamped: Racism, Antiracism, and You by Jason Reynolds and Ibram X. Kendi.
