Full Moon Sound Healing with Joy Evans. In-person and livestream

Full Moon Sound Healing with Joy Evans. In-person and livestream

Presented by Dayaalu Yoga and Wellness Center at Dayaalu Yoga and Wellness Center

We are water. Just like the water that surrounds Bainbridge Island, our physical bodies -approximately 60% water- are impacted by the tides, especially by the Full Moon and New Moon extreme tides.
Cozy up in-studio at Dayaalu or join us from home. Through gently guided breathwork, reconnect with your physical senses and your heart. Feel the ebb and flow of the tides dramatically impacted by the full moon. In the cycle of the moon, the full moon invites us to let go of whatever no longer serves us.

Allow the sounds of alchemy crystal singing bowls to carry you into a deep practice of restorative rest. Gentle attention will be given to the heart chakra of each person to support your connection to the element of water.
Sound helps the mind to settle, can support the brain in entering a peaceful theta state (or pre-sleep), and engages the parasympathetic nervous system to let the body relax and access the full benefits of rest. The vibration/energy of alchemy quartz crystal singing bowls can be impactful physically on the mind/body, as well as energetically on the subtle energy bodies.
Please remember to drink water after this cleansing event.

Please Note: sound healing should never cause any kind of physical pain. If you experience physical discomfort--for any reason--please listen and be kind to your body by removing yourself from the in-person or virtual experience.

Joy Evans, MSW (she/her) combines trauma-healing modalities with sound and forest therapy to lead people out of the perpetual stress response to reconnect with the details of the senses and return to clarity, centered self, and calm.
She welcomes folks from all backgrounds, especially LGBTQ+ and BIPOC to her in-person and virtual events. Joy developed a deep commitment to restorative practices while overseeing the healing services, crisis response, and advocacy for students, staff and faculty impacted by sexual violence/harassment, intimate partner violence, and stalking at the University of California, Berkeley.
She received an MSW from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and self-designed her major in Cross-Cultural Perspectives on Gender at Vanderbilt University. She completed The Art of Sound Healing Level II certification through the Seattle Sound Temple, is a certified forest therapy guide through the Association of Nature & Forest Therapy, and in her third year of study with the School of Celtic Consciousness.
