Signs of Welcome Len Eisenhood Workshop

Join Community Creative Artist Len Eisenhood for a 3-part workshop on communicating the welcoming signs of nature through art-making. 8 students maximum.

Participants will be guided to communicate their encounters with nature in various modalities that meld direct experience of the known and unknown elements of the natural world, with imaginative and creative ones. Through walks, observation and recording, poetry, articles, discussion, and art-making, group members will be able to access the qualities of nature that also lie within themselves.

Session dates: June 1, 8 and 15
June 1–10:45 AM – 2 PM Meet at Arrival Garden at Bloedel Reserve between 10:30 AM and 10:40 AM

Session 1 will be spent talking as a group, walking, sketching, and sitting quietly–encountering nature.

June 8–10:45 AM -4 PM Meet at Arrival Garden at Bloedel Reserve between 10:30 AM and 10:40 AM

Session 2 will be a day of paper marbling at Bloedel Reserve’s Floral Shop.

June 15–10 AM-2 PM at BIMA Classroom

Session 3 will be guided art-making bringing together all the elements from our previous sessions.

This workshop is free with cost of admission to Bloedel Reserve.

Located in a semi-rural residential area, our parking capacity is limited and there is no street or off-site parking available.
