The Bainbridge Island Museum of Art will open its fall/winter exhibitions Saturday, Oct. 12 with a public reception from 2 to 5 p.m. The exhibitions, most of which are on display through Feb. 23, are open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and are free to view. The next season’s shows offer a variety of mediums and styles to enjoy.
“Face First” eyes more than 30 Puget Sound-area artists whose work includes portraiture, focused especially on the human face. This major group exhibition includes... painting, photography, sculpture, glass, artist’s books, and mixed media in the Lobby and Feferman Galleries.
Artists include Juliette Aristides, Fong Baatz, Romson Bustillo, Terry Furchgott, Bryant Goetz, Naomi Haverland, Aisha Harrison, Julia Harrison, Christopher Paul Jordan, Kathryn Lesh, Paul Marioni, Mark Kang-O’Higgins, Jane Richlovsky, Adair Freeman Rutledge, Jessica Rycheal, and Susan Singleton.
This exhibition of recent works spans a wide range — from whimsical to intriguing and emotionally impactful. Included are illustrations, fine art, and installation work.
