The Mad Priest McAllister Poetry Readings begin this Sunday

The Mad Priest McAllister Poetry Readings begin this Sunday

at Kitsap Regional Library

The first quarterly poetry reading in honor of Bob McAllister has been scheduled. For many years Bob referred to himself as the Mad Priest of Bainbridge Island, which is why we're calling these readings the MAD PRIEST MCALLISTER POETRY READINGS. Many of us local poets studied with and were inspired by Bob McAllister. We've decided to have these readings because many of us local poets know that without Bob and his teachings, many local poetry events would not exist.

The first of these readings will be at the BAINBRIDGE LIBRARY on SUNDAY, OCTOBER 27TH, from 7-9 pm. Anyone who studied poetry with Bob is welcome to come, read a poem, and say a few words about Bob. Anyone who knew Bob is also welcome (And of course it's open to the general public.)
If you plan to come and read a poem, please send an email to nancyrekow@msn.com to let her know and she will put you on the list of readers--That being said, there may still be room on the list on the day of the event.
