21st Annual Island Treasure Awards Celebration: Honoring Bill Baran-Mickle & Dominique Cantwell

Presented by Island Treasure Foundation at IslandWood

Congratulations to the 2020 Island Treasures
Bill Baran-Mickle & Dominique Cantwell

The Island Treasure Awards honor excellence in the arts and/or humanities, and are presented annually to individuals who have made outstanding contributions in the arts and humanities or have been a leader of efforts that have benefitted our cultural community. The award is a community-based program intended to identify and consider creative individuals who are living on Bainbridge Island or whose principal work is based on Bainbridge Island, and have displayed an ongoing commitment to their chosen field.

The Island Treasure Awards selection process was modeled after the MacArthur Foundation Fellows Program. The selection is a double-blind process where all nominators and jurors remain anonymous.

Each year a celebration is held honoring the new Island Treasures. At the celebration, each new Island Treasure receives a sculptural candle holder designed by Island artist Kent Van Slyke and an unrestricted monetary award.

If you are unable to attend, but would like to support the Island Treasure Awards Program, please mail your tax-deductible contribution to:
