How To Stay Active with the Bainbridge Island Metro & Park Recreation District Closure

Beginning Saturday, March 14, all Park District run activities, facilities, and sports fields will be closed until March 31.

 

Closure causes some challenges to our very active community. There are still many ways to keep busy and enjoy this beautiful island:

Walk or run the Park District trails and explore nature!
-Visit the new bridge and bird watching blind at Blakely Harbor Park
-Take a stroll down the Hawley Cove Park boardwalk
Go on a bike ride!
-Trails and the Battle Point Park pump track are open
-Ride the Chilly Hilly course
Visit a playground! Hand sanitizer stations will be added to the following playground areas:
-Rotary Park - Owen’s Playground
-Fay Bainbridge Park - Pirate Ship Playground
-Strawberry Hill Park - Playground
-Schel Chelb Park – Playground
-Madison Tot Lot – Playground
Go kayaking or canoeing!
-Hidden Cove Park dock and Blakely Harbor Park are great places to launch from
Visit one of our beautiful waterfront parks!
-Fay Bainbridge Park
-Fort Ward Park
-Blakely Harbor Park
-Pritchard Park
-The dog park at Strawberry Hill Park will be open for use!
