inD Theatre produces independent theatrical events focusing on the bridge between the script and the audience: the actor. It promotes the craft of delivering two-dimensional text into sound and meaning by supporting and providing stipends to passionate performers. Minimalist productions and creative selection of venues allow the organization to advance the belief that art experiences should be accessible to all community members. Performances are always presented without a fee for admission.

All actors receive stipends.
Every actor involved in our performances receives a stipend. Because transportation and other costs shouldn’t be a barrier to acting.

Shunpike is the 501(c)(3) nonprofit agency that provides independent arts groups in Washington State with the services, resources, and opportunities they need to forge their own paths to sustainable success. All donations to inD Theatre are processed by Shunpike and are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
