Iris Flare, created by artists Lin McJunkin and Milo White, received the very 1st People’s Choice Award as part of the first year of Something New’s rotating art project in 2018. The sculpture, is made of steel and glass sculpture by the artist team of White and McJunkin.  This fun, beautiful, colorful, and gestural sculpture captured the interest of our Island Community, and favored it in the public vote of the three sculptures.

Iris Flare has been purchased by a private group in memory of Pernell Tyus.  It is now located by Town & Country market.
