Have you spotted content online that highlights cultural experiences and resources that would interest our Bainbridge community? Currents plans to periodically share a list of recent articles, podcasts, and videos for you to check out. The Arts & Humanities Bainbridge staff and board, which brings Currents to you, helped put together this initial list. If you have suggestions for the next list, please send them to editor@bainbridgecurrents.com.

  • Temporary public art is connecting Tacoma during the pandemic
  • A New York art exhibition shows how creativity survives even behind bars
  • How would you paint a portrait of Breonna Taylor? Artist Amy Sherald shares her inspiration and creative approach in creating the portrait for the cover of Vanity Fair.
  • Showing immense creativity, Bainbridge children used whatever they could find around their homes to create photos that duplicated famous paintings.
  • Our Bainbridge children turned to art during the pandemic and so have children around the world. The World Economic Forum featured children showing their lockdown art.
  • Three Black and female artists create images exploring mythology and race.
