Miss Heidi Krause has been studying Bel Canto since she was 7 years old. Though Heidi has always had an interest in music, studying piano early, Heidi’s mother signed her up for singing lessons with her teacher, Madame Camille. 

Heidi showed amazing potential and through her years of hard work, and love for music she found her true passion in singing and her love for opera and classical music. Heidi has won awards for her singing and has been with the Seattle Opera for two years. She is now singing in the Seattle Opera’s Teen Vocal Studio, and performs often. Heidi wishes to pursue a career in opera.

Madame Camille has been a lifelong Bel Canto singer and has been teaching for over 13 years. She now teaches out of the Island Music Guild on Bainbridge Island.

“With Heidi’s wonderful talent, work ethic, and love for the art of singing, Heidi will fulfill her dream,” said Madame Camille.

Heidi is singing , “Ah, Je veux vivre,” from Romeo and Juliet, by Charles Gounod. She is accompanied by her piano teacher, Elissa Hust. 

ABOUT MADAME CAMILLE. She has been a lifelong Bel Canto singer, and has been teaching singing for 12 years. Camille has performed opera, classical, contemporary, and jazz in Boston, San Francisco and the Seattle areas. Camille founded and directed several performing choirs including Bel Canto Voices and Voices in Motion. She produced and published her own album, “Hope is the Thing With Feathers” original songs composed of Emily Dickinson poems. Camille teaches all ages from 7 years of age to older adults.
