“Dying Swan” was originally choreographed by Michel Fokine for Anna Pavlova in 1905 as her signature dance performed in the Mariinsky Theatre. Music by Camille Saint-Saens. This performance was staged by Sara Cramer for her beginning level pointe students Amelia Molendijk, Hannah Bounketh, Camille Heidemann, and Abigail Huck.

ABOUT SARA CRAMER. Sara is the director of Bainbridge Ballet. She began dancing at the age of five and studied classical ballet with Doreen Gilday for over 10 years. Doreen Gilday had studied under such renowned masters as Mikael Mordkin and Michel Fokine. Sara also studied with Barbara Remington (NYC Ballet), Robert Joffrey (Joffrey Ballet), and Pacific Northwest Ballet, among others. She has been teaching on Bainbridge Island since 1989. She also taught at Princeton Ballet, Belle Mead Ballet, and River Ballet Company.  She has performed and staged numerous productions such as “Cinderella.”
