BYC’s oldest group (Chamber Choir) is seen here performing an arrangement of Fleet Foxes’ hit single from 2008 that was made popular by the Pentatonix 2014 a cappella cover.This song has become a winter hit in choral music. Beautiful harmonic layers as well as body percussion keep the audience and performers on their toes! 

The Bainbridge Youth Choir (BYC) is proud to offer choir classes to all youth ages 4 through high school. Formerly the Olympic Girls’ Choir, Founding Artistic Director Laura Milleson, was succeeded by Angie Godfrey in the Fall of 2018. BYC offers choral instruction to five different age groups: Early Singers, Encora, Cantabile, and Chamber Choir, and a Teen Choral Series (new this year!) serving children from Bainbridge Island and the Kitsap area. 

Bainbridge Youth Choir is under the umbrella of the Bainbridge Chorale and is supported in rehearsal and performances by its collaborative pianist, Laetitia Lehman-Pearsall Delfino. BYC continued classes using Zoom since April of 2020 and was finally able to meet in-person this past May! ABOUT ANGIE GODFREY. Angie was appointed Artistic Director of the Bainbridge Youth Choir in July 2018, after serving as Associate Director of Youth Programs since January 2018.  Angie  has loved making music with her students. She is inspired daily by their curiosity and their individual talents that are the best inspiration a teacher could find.  Angie has over 15 years of experience directing musical groups of all ages.  While living in California’s Bay area, Angie taught Music in the Cupertino Union School District. She directed Music in Elementary Orff Music, Middle School Band, Choir and Musical Theatre. Since moving to Bainbridge Island 9 years ago, Angie has been the Music Specialist at Montessori Country School which offers instruction to ages Preschool to 6th Grade. Angie is also an active member in the Bainbridge Chorale.
