Bainbridge has talent, lots of it!
That’s why Arts & Humanities Bainbridge one year ago launched Bainbridge Talent Showcase on Currents to celebrate the island’s young performers. Each month we post videos sharing the amazing talents of ballerinas, vocalists, musicians and more.
The Arts & Humanities team, which produces Currents, has been excited to offer a virtual stage to these young stars. When the pandemic shut down live recitals, we wanted to create another venue for the island’s talented young residents to share their performances. And we’ve been wowed by their skills and energy and artistry. For me, it’s been a special pleasure to open Currents and click on the latest Showcase feature and sit back and be entertained by such outstanding young singers, dancers, actors and musicians. And it’s free!
Those of us helping to produce the Talent Showcase also are wowed by the incredible teachers on Bainbridge who have helped train these young stars. Each Talent Showcase posting includes the names of the performers’ teachers and links to their profiles.
As we look back over all the Talent Showcase videos and plan ahead for more, we hope you also will enjoy watching and applauding your talented young neighbors. Don’t be surprised one day to see them on the big screen or at Benaroya Hall.
