Ethan Currier’s sculptures can be found all over Bainbridge, throughout the Pacific Northwest, and all over the world. His iconic works include the Stone Sculpture Garden at Winslow Wharf and an installation on Blakely Rock visible to ferry commuters and Puget sound boaters.

For many years Currier has called Bainbridge home, and he even opened a studio locally. Now he’s asking for help after someone broke into that studio and stole a bunch of his sculpting tools.

“This is heartbreaking as I feel I build and display sculpture for the community and for the first time in 20 years my ability to work is completely jeopardized until I replace these tools,” Currier said.

The sculptor is now asking the community to support him as he tries to replace the tools, which will cost him about $15,000. Currier started a GoFundMe hoping to raise the money.
