ABOUT THE BAINBRIDGE CREATIVE DISTRICT. Washington Arts Commission (ArtsWA) designated Bainbridge Island a creative district in Oct 2021. We are the 11th district out of 13. A creative district is a fun place to live, work, and visit – a geographically defined are of cultural and economic activity. A district is a place where innovation and creativity thrive where arts, artists, and arts facilities are funded by the State. Arts & Humanities Bainbridge (AHB) leads the BCD in collaboration with volunteer partners within our Executive & Steering Committees. It’s co-chaired by the ED of AHB and the President & CEO of BI Chamber. Partners: Visit Bainbridge, Downtown Association, Destination BI & Lodging Association, BI Japanese American Community, BIMA, Multicultural Advisory Committee, Andrew Joslyn Music. Grant support – ArtsWA, COBI, BCF.
