Bainbridge High School Juniors and Seniors are eligible for cash awards from the Bainbridge Island Studio Tour. For outstanding work in visual arts, a grand prize of $500 and two $100 honorable mention cash prizes will be awarded. Now in its 9th year, the Youth Art Award is funded by voluntary donations from the 2022 Studio Tour artists.

This award is open to all Bainbridge Island students and residents that are a Junior or Senior in High School as of March 2023.

            The deadline is March 31. Applications can be found online at the Studio Tour website: www.bistudiotour.com. Students will need to supply an artist’s statement and five photos of their work electronically. All types of visual art are eligible – paintings, drawings, pottery, sculpture, glass, photography, etc.

            Winners will be announced on May 18, at the Bainbridge High School Spring Art Festival awards ceremony.

ABOUT DINAH SATTERWHITE. Ms. Satterwhite has been a resident of Bainbridge Island, Washington, since 1997. She is a competitive tennis player, talented pianist, and speaks German. Her background includes marketing, hi-tech, insurance, operations, and advertising. She offers coaching and commercial photography for artists and corporate clients, as well as marketing and photography workshops. Her work can be found in regional galleries, on stage and film sets, and in homes and office settings worldwide.
