Chuck Fitzgerald describes his art as having “a pop art influence.”, often using scale as a unique element in his work. “I like to scale up real small objects in larger pieces.” said Fitzgerald, “It is representational art but at the same time has an abstract element to it.”

Fitzgerald’s public art piece “Strawberry” is part of Bainbridge Island’s Something New VI program. Fitzgerald explains the local inspiration to create this sculpture and why he feels there is value in public art.
