I got the key to Bainbridge Island
Where the blues is on the run.
The musicians and all the artists,
So much to do that’s fun.
I’m tripping on to BIMA,
Where the art is all aglow.
If I’m feeling a little lonesome,
I take my sweet bride to a show.
We’ve lived here for sixteen years,
The old timers call us new.
Give us one more chance I plead with them,
We’re not just passing thru.
Harmonica solo
The wine we have is mighty fine,
The taste is rich and true.
We’ve got so many types of coffee,
I don’t know what to do.
I love all the music venues,
We’ve even played a few.
I’ll always cherish the hard times,
And the friends who’ve seen us thru.
[Solo] Guitar
When the moon peeks over 305,
The Edge will make us laugh.
I’m gonna roam this here ol’ highway,
Until they write my epitaph.
Give me one last Mora’s ice cream,
If it’s the last thing that you do.
And if I have to leave this lovely place,
I tell you I’ll be blue.
Throw my ashes off the ferry,
And my 20 harmonicas, too.
‘Cause I won’t have room for big regrets,
But, I’ll have the Bainbridge blues.
Harmonica outro
