WHAT TO KNOW
There are many words used around Latine identity, some choose to identify with a country (Mexican, Puerto Rican), some words are more broad, a way to show solidarity or a person has more than one culture or ethnicity (Latino/ Latina/ Hispanic/ Chicano/Chicana) and when we use the words Latinx (English) Latine (Spanish) we are trying our best to be inclusive with a language that did not make that consideration when first formed. It’s okay to do better when you know better.
