As a native of Long Island, NY, Mandi grew up surrounded by shoreline and forests, which were prevalent as both backdrop and playground for her childhood explorations. Her dreamy imagination and curiosity for her natural surroundings found a welcome home here, in the PNW, when she relocated in 2012 to the lush natural landscape of Bainbridge Island.

As an artist she finds inspiration in her natural environments. There is a creative and experimental approach to both her photography and printmaking, which brings dreamlike and otherworldly qualities to her image making. Her photographs are composed in-camera using creative lenses, prisms, and other in-camera techniques. Most of her printmaking is done using a gelatin printing plate with hand-cut masks and found objects.

Mandi completed her bachelors degree in fine art and photography at LIU Southampton in 2004. She has work experience as a photography studio/location assistant and photographer, digital retoucher, fine art photographer for giclée reproduction work, printing giclées and archival photographs, art museum archives, and custom framing.
