Blakely Harbor Park Trail

Blakely Harbor Park Trail

A mix of history and natural wonder pervade this park where you can hike along a forested lagoon out to a clearing on Puget Sound.

This used to be the site of a booming lumber mill in the 1800s. Now it is a public park for all to enjoy. Park along the road shoulder and find the trail leading into the trees. After a short stretch, you will pop out into the open and see an old concrete structure still standing on the edge of this inlet.

If you’re looking for more mileage, head back to the shoulder parking along Blakely Ave. and find the Blakely Cemetery Trail diving off into the trees on the opposite side of the road (a small sign marks the entrance). This trail goes a short-but-steep 0.3 mile to a historic cemetery at the top.
