Veg Club can help make your food garden great. This series of classes covers everything from beginner basics to specialized local resources for experienced growers.
Eat from Your Garden All Fall & Winter
In our June session, we’ll begin to plan for a year ‘round garden.
Did you know that you can harvest lots of food from your garden in winter, and early spring? Food holds so well in the winter garden that it's like a refrigerator where produce never goes bad. The garden has been an important convenience during "Covid time," and it's extremely satisfying to eat from the garden when it's cold outside. Learning to make your garden bear for more than just the summer is also an emergency preparedness skill. While some winter crops are started in the fall, many are actually started in the summer.
Open to all levels of gardeners and it’s free! On Zoom (for now)
