'Something New' 2019 Sculpture Unveiling

Join AHB's Public Art Committee and the City of Bainbridge Island for the unveiling of the second round of artwork in their collaborative outdoor sculpture exhibition, Something New. The event coincides with August's First Friday Art Walk.

Members of the Public Art Committee will guide a walking tour of the sculptures. The tour will start from a station on Winslow Way between Columbia Bank and Chase Bank. The Sweet Deal Mobile will also be on hand for those who prefer to ride.

AHB will be scooping free Mora ice-cream at the event! Join us!

The two sculptures chosen for this terrific project are: “Daphne” by Karsten Boysen; and “Stargazer” by Timm Duffy. The pieces have been installed in the harbor-side plaza at the southern end of Madison Avenue and along Winslow Way near its intersection with Ericksen Avenue, respectively.
