For First Friday Art Walk in April we welcome mixed media artist Shelley Blain Reimer to the shop. She’ll be in house, working on some smaller pieces in progress while chatting with visitors and sharing some stories of her inspirations and processes.

Shelley was born and raised on Bainbridge Island, and has a deep connection to deep water as an avid open water swimmer. Her work explodes with texture, color, and pattern that evokes the movement of water and sky.

Shelley's works have been featured in our shop for some time, and her mixed media ornaments are a customer favorite! Each one is made by hand and includes either pieces of original art, vintage ephemera, found organic pieces like shells or pebbles, charms, or any combination of those. She'll have some great spring-themed ornaments perfect for Easter gift baskets. For this event only, she'll bring some large canvases and other works all available for sale at Island Life Artisan Gifts.

Pop in, and enjoy a snack or beverage while you get to know this very prolific artist.
