Artificial Intelligence: Promises and Perils

A panel discussion of developments in AI.

Artificial Intelligence is everywhere - and it's here to stay, offering promises of unprecedented advancements that could revolutionize every aspect of our lives. From enhancing efficiency in industries to providing personalized healthcare solutions, the benefits seem boundless. They are, however, accompanied by possible perils such as job displacement, legal and ethical dilemmas, and the potential for AI to advance beyond human control.

To help sort it all out, Library U, a program of the Bainbridge Public Library, has assembled a panel of speakers to provide an overview of several facets of AI, followed by an audience discussion. Bring your questions and ideas!

Bill Sams, Bainbridge Island-based retired tech executive and university administrator. Bill will provide a “nuts and bolts” introduction to AI.
