Artist’s Books Intermediate Workshop: Star Pop-Ups and Triangle Books

Star pop-up and triangle books, two sculptural structures developed by Hedi Kyle, will be the focus of this workshop designed for the advanced beginner or intermediate student. The star pop-up creates a dramatic effect through repetition, light, and negative space, while the dynamic, playful form of the triangle book is perfect for experimenting with color, collage, and text. Students will come away with samples of each form and rich resources for continuing on their own.

Becky Johnston (she/her) is an educator and book artist in Seattle, WA. She is passionate about empowering book artists of all ages and abilities to explore and give voice to their unique vision.
