Visit BIMA on Saturday the 25th at 3pm to join this talk with Linda Bierds and Catherine Alice Michaelis for readings and examinations of works from the Cynthia Sears Artist Books Collection.
Poet Linda Bierds, MacArthur Fellowship “genius’ grant recipient, and Catherine Alice Michaelis, Associate Director of the Cynthia Sears Artist’s Book Collection, present readings and detailed examinations of selected works from the collection. This new quarterly event is an opportunity to hear the words that form the stories for each of the presented works, and experience each selection in a much more complex way than static viewing allows. Selected works will be projected on screen while Catherine Alice and Linda read the text, offer insights into the creation of the artist’s books, and dive deeper into the textoral elements of the art.
