The Bainbridge Island Historical Museum will hold its Annual Meeting on Saturday, February 11th. The gathering will be held at St. Barnabas Church from 1pm-3pm. In addition to a brief business meeting, the Museum looks forward to recognizing the Bainbridge Island Japanese American Memorial Association and The Suquamish Tribe as this year’s 2023 History Heroes.
Kevin Dwyer will be the guest speaker at the event. He will talk about his book, Meadowmeer: From Strawberry Fields to Fairways. Kevin met his beautiful wife, Mary, a retired Bainbridge Island elementary school teacher, in the late 1970s while living and working in Lake Tahoe, CA. They made the move to the island a decade later, raised their daughter, Molly, who still calls Bainbridge her home (along with her husband, Mike). When Kevin’s not working on various writing assignments and developing ideas for fiction and non-fiction novels, he’s out riding his road bike with his buddies from the local “Geezer of Fury”
