The 4th Annual Bainbridge Island Pickleball Founders Tournament is coming to the island from August 9-13, 2023 to celebrate the viral sport where it was invented!
Presented by Bainbridge Island Historical Museum, the USAPA-sanctioned Pickleball tournament play starts at 8:00 am daily.
Spectators can watch for free—from the first serve to the last matches in the Pickledome—at Battle Point Park on Bainbridge Island. There will also be vendors, hospitality tents and food trucks, plus a beer garden on Saturday 8/12 and Sunday 8/13 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. Battle Point Park has an adjacent playground—plus there’s amazing shopping and eating throughout the island—so bring the kids.
For curious fans, Bainbridge Island Historical Museum is giving tours to the original Court #1 where the very first Pickleball game was played in 1965. The tours to the private home are $20 and benefit the Museum, with sign-ups at the Museum tent. The tent also includes displays on the history of the game and will be organizing free beginners’ clinics for every age.
