Best of the West Sound

Bainbridge Island Museum of Art is excited to announce jazz concerts in celebration of BIMA’s fall exhibitions. This festival-within-a-festival brings together top talent playing a wide range of styles. This event is part of the Within/Earshot Jazz Festival 2019 presented by BIMA in partnership with Seattle’s Earshot Jazz.

• 12:00pm – The Cuban Heels
  A Bainbridge Island Latin Jazz band that combines music primarily from Brazil and other Latin American countries with original music, jazz standards, and sometimes other genres for an eclectic set of music that is best enjoyed by joining in on percussion or getting on the dance floor.
• 1:30pm – Sus 4
  This quartet of Kitsap musicians plays music that occupies the space where electric jazz, progressive rock and subtle polyrhythms meet.
• 3:00pm – Chuck Easton/George Radebaugh Quartet
  This group brings together four musicians from the Port Townsend area for a performance of standards, contemporary straight-ahead jazz, and original compositions.
