Join Bainbridge Island Museum of Art for Between Two Worlds: Growing Up with Undocumented Parents in Kitsap County.
Alejandra Pulido a KAIRE (Kitsap Advocating for Immigrant Rights & Equality) Youth Leader will share her experience of growing up in Bremerton with undocumented parents. The conversation will be hosted by fellow KAIRE Leader Brenda Calderon, together they will connect the importance of maintaining a global focus while organizing in Kitsap to foster international solidarity.
This event is free and takes place on Zoom. Pre-registration is required.
ABOUT THE PANELISTS
Brenda Calderon (she/ella) is a first generation immigrant born and raised in Los Angeles the ancestral unceded land of the Tongva and Chumash. She received her BA from NMSU where she lived and learned from the communities of the borderlands in the southwest. Driven by a passion for food, sustainability, and social justice she dove into the world of agriculture in 2014. She has been a part of the farming and organizing community in Kistap since 2018 in the ancestral unceded land of the Suquamish and Port Gamble

Parking is also available in the underground garage. Take the elevator to First Floor Rear (1R) during museum hours for access through the Community Gallery to the Auditorium, Bistro and Museum.
All of the Museum is accessible by ramps and elevators. If someone in your party needs a wheelchair to enjoy the museum, please ask to borrow a loaner one at the reception desk.
